PGY-1

Six months of structured education on non-orthopaedic surgery rotations designed to foster proficiency in basic surgical skills, the perioperative care of surgical patients, musculoskeletal image interpretation, medical management of patients, and airway management skills.

General Surgery

  • 2 months general surgery
  • 1 month anesthesiology
  • 1 month general surgery vascular
  • 1 month musculoskeletal radiology
  • 1 month plastics/burns

Six months of orthopaedic surgery rotations designed to foster proficiency in basic surgical skills, the general care of orthopaedic patietns both as inpatients and in the outpatient clinics, the management of othopaedic patients in the emergency department, and the cultivation of an orthopaedic knowledge base.

Orthopaedic Surgery

  • 1 month orthopaedic adult reconstruction
  • 2 months general orthopaedic surgery
  • 3 months orthopaedic trauma

 

PGY-2

  • 3 months orthopaedic trauma
  • 3 months pediatric orthopaedic surgery
  • 2 months general orthopaedic surgery
  • 2 months orthopaedic surgery of the hand
  • 2 months orthopaedic adult reconstruction

 

PGY-3

  • 3 months orthopaedic surgery of the spine
  • 2 months orthopaedic surgery of the foot/ankle
  • 3 months orthopaedic adult reconstruction
  • 3 months sports medicine
  • 1 month research

 

PGY-4

  • 3 months orthopaedic trauma
  • 3 months pediatric orthopaedic surgery
  • 1 month research
  • 1 month orthopaedic oncology
  • 3 months orthopaedic surgery of the hand
  • 1 month orthopaedic adult reconstruction

  • 3 months orthopaedic trauma
