General: The Sports Neurology Clinic at The CORE Institute provides medical trainees a unique experience in patient care and public education. Students will rotate through sports neurology clinics in Brighton and Plymouth and will have opportunities to learn sideline medicine for different sports throughout the year. Rotators will be considered part of the care team and gain experience in treating athletes from the youth to the elite levels.

    • Clinic hours Monday through Friday
      • Time includes direct patient care and collaboration with physical therapy and athletic training specialists
    • Sideline observation for games and tournaments
  • Community Education and Outreach
    • Attend local educational conferences
    • Assist in pre-participation testing

Evaluation: At the end of the rotation, the Rotation Director will collect data from the supervising physician and other medical team members and complete a written evaluation of the student that is reflective of the student’s academic competence, procedural proficiency and professional attributes. The standard medical school form from the student’s medical school will be used. If required, the student should complete a case log and an evaluation of the rotation and submit them to their medical school.
