All residents and fellows are required to obtain an educational license to practice medicine by the State of Michigan. All residents must obtain a Limited Educational and Controlled Substance training license by July 01 of the academic year. Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital Graduate Medical Education reimburse residents and fellows for the cost of Limited Educational and Controlled Substance licenses ONLY. Educational License are renewable up to five times.
Corporate Package - Interns/Residents/Fellows are eligible for participation in a version of the Ascension SmartHealth benefits program. This benefit program allows interns/residents/fellows to choose which health, dental, and vision plans best suit their personal and family benefits needs. This plan also provides short and long-term disability coverage as well as life insurance. All house staff members are eligible for participation in the multiple tax shelter retirement annuity plans.
2 Lab coats the residents first year and optional one additional lab coat every year thereafter.
Annual meal allowance for Ascension Macomb-Oakland Warren and Madison Heights Campus.
20 days per academic year. Anytime beyond 20 days is made up at the end of current academic year before advancing to the next level of training or prior to the completion of the program.
