Opened in July of 2017, the Simulation and Education Center at Providence is an approximately 7400 square foot facility accredited by the American College of Surgeons.  The Center’s resources include over four high-fidelity mannequins, several virtual reality trainers, and over twenty skills training models.  These training tools are housed in a space containing a functional OR, two multi-purpose team training rooms, two clinical exam rooms, a large skills lab, an anatomy lab, and a space dedicated to virtual skills training.  Additionally, the Center includes a classroom that can seat up to forty students and three smaller conference rooms that a set up for debriefing simulations and web conferencing.
